I arrived in Virginia via the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. It is two alternating sections of bridge and two sections of tunnel that cross the bay. 17.6 miles long! It’s amazing what money and engineering can do.  Still the choppy waters below had me thinking Mother Nature still has the most power. None the less I made it across.

After driving through miles of industrial agriculture and Sysco, Perdue and Tyson offices earlier today, it was nice to go pick up a family friend’s CSA Box, with peaches in it. We don’t get that in New England! I’m visiting with family friends from birth, who have their fair share of  embarrassing photos that I enjoyed looking through. I especially liked this one of my sister and I.
